ABSTRACT

             Bollard systems often design to prevent the entering of unauthorized vehicles, keep the distance from vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED). This paper presents the test and numerical simulation for fixed bollard and removable bollard against a K4 vehicle crash load. The approach speeds for the trucks is 50 km/h. Two different types of bollards are simulated using inelastic transient finite element. Full-scale vehicle crash tests have been carried out to validate the design and analysis.
